The #652-B Deep Well Cylinder is heavy duty and designed for your deepest well settings. The #652-B is made from seamless brass tube that lines standard Sch 40 galvanized steel pipe. These open top cylinders come with a 4-leather ball valve plunger assembly and a ball valve bottom check valve. The plungers are tapped in the bottom so that they can be screwed onto the top of the bottom check to retrieve it from the cylinder bottom, without having to remove the pipe from the well. We stock these deep well windmill cylinders in 48" long barrel length, with up to 36" of stroke area, which allows for using up to 2 settings on each cylinder. After the first area of stroke in the cylinder becomes worn, you can adjust the rod length to make use of the unused portion of the cylinder stroke area. These cylinders are male iron pipe thread on both ends, so you will need a pipe coupling to attach the cylinder to your drop pipe.

If you are using a 12' or larger windmill, or are setting the cylinder more than 325' to 350' into the well, the #652B Deep Well Open Top Cylinder is what you need. These are also great for use with Jensen pump jacks which have a longer stroke. The heavy duty construction allows this cylinder group to withstand the rigorous workout a large windmill gives it with all its power. The Jensen pump jack has a long stroke that creates excessive jerk on your rod, and this cylinder is designed to take the extra strain.

Sinker Bars are used with strings of sucker rod that are not rigid or that are lighter than 43 lbs per 100 foot of rod. These sinker bars when connected to the working plunger assembly in the cylinder, may increase pumping capacity by up to 30% by keeping tension on the string of rod and helping insure the full stroke of the cylinder. A sinker bar that has been precision machined will also help to insure the proper alignment of the working plunger in the cylinder, thus increasing the efficiency and expected life of the cylinder. Sinker bars should be a minimum of 10 lbs, or 1 lb for each 23 feet of rod, whichever is greater. You can use more than one sinker bar in your installation to gain additional weight if required by the deeper settings of your string of rod. These sinker bars are painted to resist corrosion. These 1045 cold steel sinker bars are 31" long and weigh 10 lbs each.
