When power goes out, The Zoeller HOME GUARD backup system operates off your house water system
to pump when your sump pump is inoperable. |

| Pictured above is a typical installation. The HOME GUARD is installed in the basin along side the regular sump pump. The discharge line goes through the lid to a tee you place above your regular sump pump check valve. The incoming water line to the Home Guard has the flow switch installed, which is opened by a weighted float that raises when the water level rises. The Home Guard uses 1 gallon of water to pump 1 gallon of water from your sump. | |
