HOME GUARD USES WATER TO PUMP

When power goes out,
how will your sump pump keep your basement dry?

The Zoeller HOME GUARD backup system operates off your house water system to pump when your sump pump is inoperable.
No electricity is required to have the protection against basement flooding. The HOME GUARD does not use any water until your regular sump pump fails to do the job.

Pictured above is a typical installation. The HOME GUARD is installed in the basin along side the regular sump pump. The discharge line goes through the lid to a tee you place above your regular sump pump check valve. The incoming water line to the Home Guard has the flow switch installed, which is opened by a weighted float that raises when the water level rises. The Home Guard uses 1 gallon of water to pump 1 gallon of water from your sump.

Pump capacity varies by inlet water pressure, working water pressure, discharge elevation, number of pipe fittings, inlet and outlet hose size, fluid viscosity, water clarity, water temperature, and cleanliness of the inlet screen. NOTE: Some districts may require a reduced pressure principal backflow preventer per ASSE Standard 1013. Check with your local codes.
