MONITORING WELL MANHOLE COVERS

Environmental manhole protectors are used where surface protection is needed, but access must be maintained to service the monitoring well it protects. We offer Royer Aluminum manholes for smaller diameter monitoring environmental wells, and we offer the Morrison Bros manholes for use on 2" or larger wells.

These Limited Access Environmental Manholes are offered in 8", 12", and 18" sizes, feature a clearly marked "Monitoring Well" designation which distinguishes them from a standard product fill manhole. These manholes feature a heavy duty cast iron cover and ring, a fuel resistant gasket to make them watertight, and a heavy galvanized steel skirt to maintain an open area below the lid to work. Two stainless steel bolts are used to secure the lid, limiting access to the monitoring well below. These manholes are traffic rated at 8,000 lbs per tire and conform to H-20 ratings.

Royer's Aluminum Environmental Well Manholes are for small diameter monitoring wells or piezometer installations. These aluminum manholes have a 6" aluminum skirt along with the aluminum lid and ring. The lid is secured with stainless steel socket head cap screws, and have an Allen wrench supplied to remove and install the lid. A watertight compression seal is provided by a Buna N Nitril O-ring. The lids are clearly marked with "Monitoring Well" designation and "Do Not Fill" warning. There is also a well log pad provided for recording well numbering.
